CM reviewed law and order: Chief Minister Sai told the officers – take strict action to control crimes, strengthen the information system

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai reviewed the law and order situation in the state by holding a meeting of officers at the Chief Minister’s residence today. Instructing the officers in the meeting, Chief Minister Sai said that strict action should be taken against criminals and anti-social elements. Law and order should be maintained in all circumstances. The police should take immediate action and remain alert. Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma were also present in the meeting.The Chief Minister said that the police should keep a close watch on the incidents happening at the local level and the possible consequences of these incidents should also be considered. He said that to prevent crimes, illegal drug trade should be curbed. Prompt action should be taken against smuggling of ganja, illegal liquor and drugs.

CM said – Police patrolling should be regular at night

Sai said that police patrolling should be done regularly at night in urban and rural areas. Senior police officers should also do patrolling compulsorily. Police patrolling should be done regularly in railway stations, bus stands, airports as well as sensitive areas. Shopping malls, shops, hotels etc. in urban and rural areas should be closed at the prescribed time at night. Beer bars and hotels should be closed at the prescribed time, strict action should be taken against such hotels where complaints of illegal sale of liquor are received.

Instructions to take prompt action to prevent cyber crime

CM Sai said, effective action should be taken promptly to stop cyber crime. On this occasion, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Home Manoj Kumar Pingua, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja, Chief Minister’s Secretary Rahul Bhagat and senior officials of the Home Department were present.
