Raipur. NIA has taken a big action against Naxalism. Sudhir Tripathi and Suraj Nishad of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, who supplied arms and ammunition to Naxal cadres, have been arrested from UP. Both the accused used to supply arms and ammunition from UP to CPI (Maoist) in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh.A total of 6 arrests have been made in this case so far. The first 4 arrests in this case were made in January last year. The local police had seized weapons and ammunition from the accused. The NIA took over the investigation in January this year. During the investigation, it was found that Sudhir and Suraj of UP supply weapons from Uttar Pradesh to the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. The NIA has arrested both the accused. The NIA said that the pair was in regular contact with the Naxalites and was conspiring to support the banned terrorist group.
