Let us tell you that on September 12, accused Amit Kumar Sarathi, a resident of Parsapali near village Ragja near Sakti, was caught roaming on a scooty with two cartons (235 pieces) of Onerex Cough Syrup (Codeine Phosphate and Triprodiline Hydrochloride Syrup). During interrogation of the accused, it was revealed that the main dealer of the intoxicating syrup was sitting in Patna and spreading the drug business from there.
Seeing the seriousness of the case, SP Ankita Sharma sent a police team to Patna, from where the accused Mohan alias Ravishankar Prasad Sinha, resident of Patna, was arrested and brought to Sakti. A case was registered against the accused under section 21(c) of the NDPS Act and he was produced in the court.
So far, Sakti police has arrested three accused. SP Ankita Sharma says that drug trade cannot be completely stopped by arresting the local seller, because as long as the supplier sitting in another state is roaming freely, he will continue to run his business through some means or the other. Therefore, it is necessary to eradicate this disease from its roots. SP said that this action of the police against drug will continue in the future as
