Let us tell you that National Lok Adalat has been organized in the premises of Additional District Court on 21st September. To settle the dues with the defaulters, the Electricity Department has issued a notice to everyone and ordered them to appear with the advocate. A notice of National Lok Adalat has also been received by Gariaband’s civil contractor Hemchand Devangan. Devangan was shocked to see this notice.
The notice mentioned the temporary connection taken in 2015 for the construction of Aamdi School building, in which it was said that the outstanding electricity bill of Rs 22404 has not been paid. A case has been filed in the National Lok Adalat for the payment of this outstanding amount. They have been asked to make the payment or present their case before the competent authority.
If needed, I will complain to the police station: contractor
After receiving the notice, contractor Hemchand met Ganesh Prasad Barle, Assistant Engineer of Electricity Department in Gariaband. At first, he shrugged off the matter by saying that it was an old case, but when the contractor showed the payment receipt, the officer said that it was a clerical error and assured action against the culprits.
