The horrifying face of government failure has come to the fore again: Jarita

Congress in-charge secretary Jarita Laitphlang has targeted the BJP government over this incident. She has said that the horrific face of the BJP government’s failure in Chhattisgarh has once again come to the fore. The death of Prashant Sahu, a resident of village Loharidih, in police custody raises a big question on the law and order of the BJP government. Prashant’s mother’s painful screaming and demanding strict action against the culprits is proof that the BJP government and the police administration have crossed all limits of inhumanity in this case.

He said that due to police torture, Prashant Sahu’s mother is unable to walk and is vomiting blood. Is this the BJP government’s definition of ‘good governance’? The severe injury marks on Prashant’s body show that he was brutally beaten, which is an inhuman act. Jarita said that the BJP government will have to answer for this cruelty. The people of the state will not tolerate this inhumanity. In protest against the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, Chhattisgarh Congress Committee calls for a state-wide bandh on September 21.

Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan hit back

In this matter, Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Devangan countered the statement of Congress and said that crime had increased during their time. Today, after the BJP government has come, the Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister are doing good work. Congress has no issue, Congress has not fulfilled even one of the 36 promises. Congress is perplexed, how Vishnudev Sai is completing the work, which they could not do.

He further said that Congress could not do anything in its government. Neither could they do development work nor could they do anything else. They have done the Gothan, cow dung scam, now they are trying to become clean. I say, may God give them wisdom.
