Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today announced the launch of Annapurna Dal-Bhat Centre in all the districts of the state and Atal Utkrisht Shiksha Sahayata Yojana to provide free education facilities to the children of registered labour families in the best residential schools at the state level labour conference organized on the occasion of Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti.

In a programme organised at Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya campus, he congratulated and wished the workers on Vishwakarma Day and transferred an amount of Rs. 49.43 crores to the accounts of more than 57 thousand registered families under various schemes through DBT. Chief Minister Shri Sai honoured the Shramveers by presenting them shawls and mementos. On this occasion, he released the coffee table book ‘Cradles of Hope’ prepared by the Labour Department. The programme was presided over by Labour Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan.

Chief Minister Shri Sai praised the Shramev Jayate app and the workers’ helpline number launched by the Labor Department in the interest of workers. He told that during the first term of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he worked as the Minister of State for Labor at the Center for 2.5 to 3 years. At that time, workers used to get very little pension amount. On the initiative of the Prime Minister, this amount was increased to one thousand rupees. Along with this, by creating Provident Fund, universal numbers were allotted to the workers. Through this universal number, workers get various benefits through this permanent number when they go to any place in the country. Similarly, workers who did not claim the PF amount, were paid a claim amount of Rs 27 thousand crore.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that the state government has given top priority to good governance and transparency in the implementation of schemes. Today, assistance amount has been sent to the workers through DBT under various schemes. Now there will be no middleman between the workers. Workers are now getting the amount directly in their bank accounts. He said that many welfare schemes operated for the workers were closed by the previous government. Chief Minister Shri Sai is restarting those schemes. This is a happy occasion for the workers. Labor Minister Shri Devangan said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, many welfare schemes are being run for the benefit of the workers of the state. At present, the state government has provided assistance amount of Rs 235 crore to the workers through different schemes. The direct benefit of which is being received by the workers and their family members.

Addressing the program, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that Shramev Jayate App and Grievance Redressal Portal and Toll Free Number have been released. Now Shramveers can resolve their doubts and problems at home at any time. Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agarwal said that Shramveers are the backbone of our state, it is only because of them that our state is progressive. Our government is always working for the true respect of Shramveers. He said that we should make the best possible efforts for the future and education of the children of Shramveers.

In the program, MLAs Motilal Sahu, Anuj Sharma, Guru Khuswant Saheb, Secretary of Labor Department cum Labor Commissioner Mrs. Alermangai D., Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Dr. Girish Chandel, Raipur Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, Additional Labor Commissioner Mrs. Savita Mishra and L.A. Jangde along with a large number of Shramveer, officers and employees of the department were present.
