Raipur. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal has instructed the CMHOs of all districts to prepare a list of private pathology centers operating in their districts within a month. He directed that the process of regularization of irregular pathology labs should be completed within 1 year. If these pathology labs do not have valid documents, then they will be given an opportunity to do a diploma course from Ayush University so that they can become regular within a year. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal was holding a review meeting with the state’s CMHO, CS, Nodal Officer and DPM through video conferencing at his residence in Shankar Nagar today. Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Pingua, MD NHM Jagdish Sonkar and MD CGMMC Mrs. Padmini Bhoi were also present in the meeting.
While reviewing through video conferencing, the Health Minister has instructed all health officials regarding complaints of private practice. Jaiswal has said that government doctors are also being given allowance as per rules, even after this, if the doctors work against the rules, action will be taken against them.
Instructing the health officer in the review meeting, Jaiswal said that now solid reasons will have to be given for referring patients from government hospitals to other hospitals. He said that if needed, the reasons for referral will also be reviewed and it will be ascertained under what circumstances the hospital referred the patient to another hospital.
The Health Minister has instructed all health officials to complete preparations for opening 500 Jan Aushadhi Kendras in the state under Modi’s guarantee within three months so that cheap medicines can be made available to the public soon.
Jaiswal instructed the health officials to spread maximum awareness about seasonal diseases so that patients remain alert towards seasonal diseases and do not fall ill. Jaiswal said that there should be no negligence in the treatment of patients suffering from seasonal diseases, for this there should be adequate availability of medicines and test kits in hospitals. He gave special instructions regarding swine flu and said that the health department needs to be alert and there should be adequate tests for its prevention. He also instructed to increase the number of tests to identify more and more patients and said that instead of waiting for the sample to come after the test, start the treatment of the patient immediately. Dengue, diarrhea and malaria were also reviewed in the review meeting and appropriate guidelines were issued to the health officials to deal with these diseases.
