Governor became aware of the activities of Sainik Welfare Board

Governor Shri Ramen Deka has directed the officers of Sainik Welfare Board to better implement the schemes run for the welfare of the families of martyrs and ex-servicemen.
Today at Raj Bhavan, Governor Shri Ramen Deka inquired about the activities of Chhattisgarh Sainik Welfare Board. Brigadier Shri Vivek Sharma VSM (Retd.), Director of Sainik Welfare Directorate, through a presentation, gave detailed information about the schemes run by the Central Government and State Government for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. He apprised the Governor about the works of the Central, State and District Sainik Welfare Boards. Flag Day is celebrated every year on 7 December. In which funds are collected for Sainik welfare.
Governor Shri Deka said that Sainik Welfare Schemes have been made with the aim of ensuring security, respect and assistance for soldiers and their families, so that after serving the country, ex-servicemen and their families and the families of martyrs can live a respectable life. Therefore, these schemes and works should be conducted well.
Other officers of the State Sainik Welfare Board were present on this occasion.
