Karma Tihar, the festival of nature is celebrated every year on Bhado Ekadashi

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will participate in the nature festival Bhado Ekadashi Vrat Karma Tihar organized at Krishi Mandapam located in Indira Gandhi Agricultural University campus in the capital Raipur tomorrow on 14th September. Chief Minister Shri Sai will worship the revered mother Karma Devi and seek blessings for the happiness, prosperity and progress of the people of the state.

The program will be presided over by the State President of Kanwar Samaj, Shri Hari Harvansh Singh Miri. Former National President of Scheduled Tribes Commission, Shri Nandkumar Sai, President of Women’s Division of All India Kanwar Samaj, Pamshala, Jashpur, Smt. Kaushalya Sai and Patron of Chhattisgarh Kanwar Samaj Development Committee, Tatibandh, Raipur, Smt. Urmila J.L. Paikra will be present as the very special guest and senior social representatives Shri D.D. Singh, Shri Nakul Chandravanshi, Shri Tikaram Kanwar, Shri Bhim Singh Kanwar, Shri Vinod Sai, Shri Jaiprakash Sai, Shri R.N. Sai, Shri Manohar Singh Paikra, Shri Shivkumar Kanwar, Shri Timirendu Shekhar Singh Kanwar, Shri Mahipal Singh Kanwar and Shri Sanket Sai Paikra will be present as special guests.

 It is noteworthy that this Karma festival of nature is celebrated every year on Ekadashi of Bhado month. In this festival of nature, Karma Dar is welcomed and worshipped with due rituals and the Karma story is narrated. On this traditional occasion, traditional group Karma dance and Karma song are also organized. This program continues throughout the night. The program concludes with the immersion of Karma Dar in the morning.
