The teacher reached school in a drunken state: On being caught, he said – ‘I have drunk a little… I was drunk too much, I took it to get down’, the collector took this action
Surguja. District Collector Vilas Bhoskar is inspecting schools by walking in the jungles and hills to improve the education system, but there are many schools where such teachers are posted who come to school after drinking alcohol fearlessly. These teachers are not only playing with their profession but also with the future of the children. One such case has come to light from Primary School Labji of Lakhanpur block of Surguja district. Here a teacher came to school after drinking alcohol. When the media personnel asked him about coming to school after drinking alcohol, he tried to avoid the camera and even offered money to suppress the matter.
When the media persons refused to take money from him, he, citing the need not to take the matter further, admitted that he had come to school after consuming alcohol. He told the media persons that he was too drunk so to get over the effect, he drank a little before coming to school.
38 children from special tribes study in the primary school Labji
Let us tell you that about 38 children of special tribes are studying in the government primary school Labji of Lakhanpur block, whose education is the responsibility of two teachers. But when one teacher is away for training, the other teacher, Paulus Tirki comes to school drunk, which is having a deep impact on the education of the children. Due to the irresponsible actions of the teacher, the children leave their studies and get engrossed in playing. From this you can guess what the children must be learning in school.
Drunk teacher suspended
Let us tell you that after the video went viral, on the instructions of Collector Vilas Bhoskar, BEO Pradeep Rai visited Labji School. The head teacher and teacher confirmed drinking alcohol. Sarguja DEO Ashok Sinha has suspended teacher Paulus Tirki. His headquarters during the suspension period has been fixed as BEO office Udaipur.
To hide the failure, BEO issued a Tughlaqi decree
It is worth noting that to hide the irregularities in education and the improper activities of teachers, the education officer of Lakhanpur block has issued a tyrannical order. Under this order, entry of any outsider except the family members of the children and departmental officers has been prohibited during studies in the school premises. Its purpose seems to be to not let the internal flaws of the education department come out.
This decision can be considered an attempt to hide the shortcomings of the education department, because such orders will not allow the general public and media to access the schools, which will help cover up the improper activities of teachers. This will not only affect the quality of education, but can also have a deeply negative impact on the future of children.
