Raipur. The Food Department team today raided the warehouse of Aman Nagar Mowa in Raipur and took action against illegally removing gas from big cylinders and refilling it in small cylinders. During this, 98 gas cylIn fact, the Food Department is running a campaign to stop the black marketing and misuse of domestic gas cylinders. The Food Department had received a complaint about two suspicious persons refilling domestic gas from big cylinders into small cylinders in a small warehouse near Ashoka Heights Aman Nagar Mowa, after which the department’s team led by Food Controller Bhupendra Mishra raided the warehouse in Aman Nagar Mowa and seized 98 gas cylinders along with tools used for refilling domestic LPG gas from big cylinders into small cylinders such as hammer, spanner-pliers, twenty
During the raid, two persons were illegally refilling 14 kg domestic gas cylinders into 5 kg smaller cylinders by removing gas from them. The food department team found 16 gas cylinders of 14 kg capacity of different companies, 4 expired cylinders for commercial gas use and 78 cylinders of 5 kg capacity. Among the domestic gas cylinders, 8 were of HP Company, 4 of Indian Company, 4 of Bharat Company and 78 gas cylinders of 5 kg capacity were seized.
Action will be taken against the warehouse operator
During this operation, the Food Department team also seized four expired commercial cylinders of Reliance Company. A hammer, two spanners, 20 regulators and three brass flutes along with other tools were also seized from the spot. Along with this, action is also being taken against the warehouse operator under various provisions of the Liquefied Petroleum Order 2000.
