Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and the instructions of Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, continuous work is being done for the improvement of health facilities in the state. In this series, now the pathology test report will soon be available through WhatsApp message in SIMS and District Hospital located in Bilaspur. Patients will not have to run around to get the report. Bilaspur Collector Avnish Sharan, after inspecting SIMS and District Hospital, has given instructions to the management of both the institutions to this effect. First this system will start in the district hospital. After a few days in SIMS Hospital.

During this, the collector inspected the CIMS hospital. He saw the construction work being done to increase the facilities of the hospital. He visited various wards and met the patients. He enquired about the food, treatment and medicines being provided by the hospital. There are 6 lifts for the patients. He instructed to repair one of these non-functioning lifts in 2 days and to complete the civil work of the other two lifts in 1 month. The collector reviewed the health facilities by holding a meeting of the concerned officials in the superintendent’s office. He gave strict instructions to the doctors to take information about the infection of seasonal diseases and treat them promptly.

After SIMS Hospital, the collector reached the district hospital. He asked to start the Hummer Lab and Burn Unit soon and complete the remaining work soon. He approved one AC for the patients in emergency ward number one. He instructed to provide pathology reports through WhatsApp at the district hospital so that patients do not face the trouble of unnecessary visiting again and again. Civil surgeon Dr. Anil Gupta told that at present 96 types of testing facilities are available in the pathology department. 500 types of tests are done on around 150 patients every day. 300 patients come for treatment to the OPD of the district hospital every day.
