Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Saw today performed the Bhoomi Pujan of 171 development works to be done at a cost of 14 crore 26 lakh 18 thousand rupees in Risali Municipal Corporation of Durg district. He also inaugurated the beautification work of Bhakta Mata Karma Chowk in Steel City of Risali. This Chowk has been beautified by Risali Municipal Corporation at a cost of 15 lakh rupees. In the program organized on this occasion, Shri Saw announced to give 20 lakh rupees for the stage and other works in Karma Bhawan of Risali.

Addressing the inauguration and bhoomipujan program, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that these development works worth more than Rs 14 crore in Risali Nagar Nigam are the result of just eight months of our government’s tenure. The Chhattisgarh government is working in accordance with the public aspirations. Just 12 days after the formation of the government, the outstanding amount of two years’ bonus was deposited in the farmers’ accounts. The work of approval of Pradhan Mantri Awas for the poor is going on continuously in both urban and rural areas.

Durg MP Mr. Vijay Baghel and Durg-Rural MLA Mr. Lalit Chandrakar also addressed the program. Mayor of Risali Municipal Corporation Mrs. Shashi Sinha, Chairman Mr. Keshav Banchhor and Leader of Opposition Mr. Shailendra Sahu, along with local public representatives and municipal corporation officers and employees were present in large numbers in the program.
