Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, while formally inaugurating the Government Prayas Residential School in Garh Umaria of Raigarh district today, called upon the students to dream big for success in life and work wholeheartedly to make it a reality. On this occasion, the Chief Minister wished everyone a Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. He said that this Prayas Residential School of Raigarh district will set an example in the field of education. On this occasion, Agriculture Minister and Minister in charge of Raigarh District Shri Ram Vichar Netam, Finance Minister Shri O. P. Choudhary, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Devendra Pratap Singh, Lok Sabha MP Shri Radheshyam Rathiya and other public representatives were present.

The Chief Minister further said that life is incomplete without education. Our government is constantly making efforts to ensure that students in Chhattisgarh get better education and move forward. New educational institutions are being started every day. The launch of Prayas Residential School in Raigarh is also a part of these efforts. We have implemented the New Education Policy 2020 in the state. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is making efforts to make the education system effective in the entire country. The educational system is being improved through the PM Shri School Scheme. 263 schools in the state have been included in the PM Shri Scheme. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also distributed educational material to the admitted students of Prayas Residential School.

On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam said that the Chhattisgarh government is making better arrangements for building the future of the young generation of the state. The inauguration of Prayas Vidyalaya on Ganesh Chaturthi is an example for us. The students of this district will benefit from it. He said that 7 students of Prayas Vidyalaya have topped the board exams. He called upon the students to make continuous efforts to achieve life goals.

Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary gave detailed information about the coordinated efforts of the Chhattisgarh Government and the Central Government to improve education. He said that it is a matter of pride for all of us that Raipur in Chhattisgarh is the only city in the country where there are important institutions like NIT, AIIMS, IIT, TripleIT, HNL University, Medical College, IIM.

It is worth noting that Prayas Residential School, which is considered a symbol of high level quality and excellence in the field of education, has been established in Raigarh district under the academic session 2024-25. This school is going to be operated in the building of Livelihood College located in Garh Umaria. After counseling done at the state level for admission in the school, out of a total of 96 students, 49 boys and 47 girls have been given admission.
