Chhattisgarh state has received approval for 8,46,931 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin by the Government of India today. This includes 6,99,331 houses as per the SECC 2011 list and 1,47,600 houses as per the Awas Plus list.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for sanctioning a large number of houses. He also thanked Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan for this. The Chief Minister said that this sanction under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin will play an important role in improving the living standards of people in rural areas of Chhattisgarh. Under this scheme, the dream of lakhs of families to own a house will come true, which will bring a sense of stability and security in their lives.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the government is continuously working for the upliftment of the poor and deprived sections. This housing approval received by Chhattisgarh will prove to be a milestone in the development of our state.
