Raipur. The 36th National Agricultural Engineers Conference and two-day national workshop was inaugurated today under the chairmanship of Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam at Indira Gandhi Agricultural University in Raipur. Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam while addressing the workshop said that today everyone has reached this two-day workshop and will share their experiences and benefit the country including the state. He said that agricultural engineers have a huge contribution. PM Modi has done revolutionary work in 10 years regarding the farmer who provides food. How water management can be done with less water and less cost has been possible only because of the engineers. Earlier people used to work in the fields for hours with a hoe. There has been a lot of change in all farming. Employment is being provided by cultivating flowers and vegetables. There is a lot of scope in the field of agriculture in the country now. Changes have come in farming only because of agricultural experts and engineers have brought revolutionary changes in the country. This conference will prove to be an important step towards establishing agriculture as the identity of the country’s self-reliance and prosperity.

The future belongs to AI technology – Vice Chancellor

Dr. Girish Chandel, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, said that the future belongs to AI technology. In this two-day workshop, all experts and scientists will do research in their respective fields and interact with new students. He said that in this two-day workshop, research will be done on the use of AI and IO technology and AI-driven equipment provided to farmers. Along with this, important aspects like employment of agricultural engineers in Chhattisgarh, new education policy, conservation and management of engineering inputs, farm mechanization, agricultural processing, value addition, use of non-conventional energy sources, and soil and water conservation will be the subject of discussion.

Farmers Day will be celebrated on 9 September

Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam has announced to celebrate Kisan Diwas on the occasion of Balaram Jayanti at the National Agricultural Engineers Conference organized at Indira Gandhi Agricultural University. He said that soon after meeting Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, information regarding this will also be released.
