Let us tell you that two cases of kidnapping and assault are registered against Najrul Islam in Purani Bhilai police station. On 26 August, Najrul Islam and Sabhapati Krishna Chandrakar assaulted gym operator Amit Lakhwani in his gym and also took him to the police station and beat him. After this incident, BJP and Bajrang Dal members gheraoed the police station. On the report of Amit Lakhwani, a case was registered against 6 people by the police.
Police raided the houses of Krishna Chandrakar and two councillors and some Congress leaders yesterday morning, but all of them fled. However, police have arrested Najrul Islam, a youth Congress leader and close aide of Mayor Nirmal Kosare. Police are now searching for the Sabhapati and other councillors.
