Raipur, 25 August 2024
Every person dreams of having a permanent house of his own, for which he works hard his whole life, but for an economically weak person, building his own permanent house remains a dream. In such a situation, that dream is being realized through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Janman Awas Yojana run by the Government of India. One such story is from the Gram Panchayat Kardana (Chhataur) of Janpad Panchayat Manora of Jashpur district, where the special backward tribe Pahari Korwa, who are called the adopted sons of the President, mostly lived in dense forests by making huts from trees, leaves and bark, who had the problem of leaking roofs and snakes and scorpions every year during the rainy season. Due to which it was a challenge for them to live. In such a situation, the Pradhan Mantri Janman Awas Yojana run by the Government of India has proved to be a boon. Under which, a total of 30 Pahari Korwa families were surveyed in Gram Panchayat Kardana and at present 16 houses were approved and 12 houses have been completed and 4 houses are under construction. The dreams of the PVTGs of the district are being fulfilled due to better implementation of the scheme
To provide all these beneficiaries the benefits of all government schemes and to connect them with the mainstream, a well-equipped colony has been built by arranging them in a systematic manner at one place. In which PM Janman Awas is being constructed in the first phase and in the colony, individual toilets are being sanctioned for all the Pahari Korwa families, poultry / goat shed is being sanctioned to all the families for tPahadi Korwa, Birhor families are getting permanent houses
