Jagdalpur: Manjhi Scheme: Administration’s initiative to promote institutional delivery: brought a pregnant Mrs. Mangaldai from a two-wheeler for delivery to the Primary Health Center

Jagdalpur 26 August 2020. To promote institutional delivery, the Majhi Yojana is being operated by the District Health Department under the guidance of Collector Shri Rajat Bansal, under the Manjhi Yojana, under the development block Lohandiguda village Maranga Dhanarupara for delivery to a pregnant woman Mrs. Mangaldai at Primary Health Center Maradum Brought by Mr. Dasaru Mandavi from a two wheeler. Due to heavy rains in Dhanarupara Marenga, 102 Mahtari Express vehicles could not reach the nearby drain. Mr. Dasaru transported the pregnant woman to the health center in her two-wheeler. Pregnant women in the health center are healthy both normal and safe after delivery.
According to the distance criteria under the Manjhi scheme, Mr. Dasru Mandavi, who brought a pregnant woman from a two-wheeler to a health center, was given a cash amount of Rs. 400 as an incentive by Dr. Narayan Nag, block medical officer, Lohandiguda. The distance from Dhanarupara to Primary Health Center Maradum is 9 km. Manjhi Yojana is being promoted continuously by health workers and Mitannin.
