Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has congratulated and wished the people of the state, especially all the mothers, on Halashashti (Kamarchhat). He has said that Halashashti is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna’s elder brother Balramji. In Chhattisgarh, this festival is celebrated as Kamar Chhath. On this day, Sagri is made in the form of a pond in homes and temples. Women gather together and worship Lord Shiva and Sagri by offering Pashar rice, Kashi flowers, Mahua leaves, Laai. On this day, women keep a fast and pray for the health, long life and prosperity of their children. The Chief Minister has wished that the wishes of all mothers are fulfilled, all children remain healthy and happy.
