Raipur. A huge Kanwar Yatra was taken out in the capital of Chhattisgarh today under the leadership of Congress Committee Secretary and former MLA Vikas Upadhyay. This divine journey was successful in a devotional, musical and joyful manner. Regarding this, Vikas Upadhyay said that the presentation of Hanuman and Lord Shankar’s entire family in the form of a tableau in the Kanwar Yatra presented a wonderful scene, in which all the Kanwariyas were drawn towards Shiva while dancing and singing.
He further said that along with the joy of all the devotees, the echo of the chants of Har Har Mahadev and Bol Bam was heard in the entire Raipur city including the West Assembly today. This divine Kanwar Yatra started from Bhimsen Bhawan at 1:00 pm by worshipping Lord Shankar and his Kanwar with full rituals being performed by the religious leaders, in which a crowd of more than thousands of devotees gathered in the devotion of Lord Shankar. Today, along with Vikas Upadhyay, city president Girish Dubey, Sabhapati Pramod Dubey, senior Congress leader Pramod Choubey, Mahesh Sharma, Suryamani Mishra, Mahend Chhabra and a large number of Congress colleagues participated in this holy moment.
Former MLA Vikas Upadhyay, along with his family, wore the Kanwar and started this divine journey by chanting Bol Bam and Har Har Mahadev. Along with him, thousands of devotees from West Assembly and various places of Raipur city also started singing and dancing in this Kanwar Yatra. The workers of former MLA Vikas Upadhyay also made proper arrangements for water, sherbet, fruits, breakfast at various places and food for all the devotees at Baba Hatkeshwar Temple Mahadev Ghat and keeping in mind the health of the devotees, the health team provided ambulance and police assistance center and full security by the police forces, along with a large number of volunteers present there also made their valuable contribution and also welcomed the divine Kanwar Yatra in a grand manner with flower showers near various main squares and intersections, for which Vikas Upadhyay has expressed his gratitude to everyone.
Today this journey started from Bhimsen Bhawan Samta Colony, passed through Agrasen Chowk, Aamapara, Sarathi Chowk, Lakhenagar, Ashwani Nagar, Sundar Nagar, under Raipura Over Bridge, through Mahadev Ghat road and reached the temple of Baba Hatkeshwar Nath Mahadev Shankar Bhagwan. Where MLA Vikas Upadhyay and his family and all the devotees received the blessings of Bholenath by offering the water taken in Kanwad to Lord Hatkeshwar Shivling along with Sahastradhar. Former MLA Vikas Upadhyay has prayed for the prosperity of the people of the state and good health of all. After which all the devotees received prasadi in the huge bhandaar organized at Mahadev Ghat Raipura.
