, Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today attended the Hareli festival and Sahu Samaj felicitation ceremony organized at Marine Drive, Telibandha on the auspicious day of Hareli Tihar. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai worshipped agricultural equipment including Nagar, Gaiti, Geddi here and prayed to God for the prosperity of the farmers of the state. During the program, Sahu Samaj demanded to change the name of Marine Drive to Telibandha Drive and to build grand gates on both sides and to name the square after Bhakta Mata Karma. Addressing the program, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai congratulated and wished the Sahu Samaj for this event. He said that today on the holy festival of Hareli, he prayed since morning for the happiness and prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh. He said that Telibandha pond is the pride of Raipur city and the demand of Sahu Samaj will be seriously considered and appropriate action will be taken soon for its naming. In the program, the officials of Sahu Samaj presented an oil painting of Lord Shri Ram and a copy of Ram Charit Manas to Chief Minister Sai. At the end of the program, Chief Minister Sai was presented with a Rudraksh tree and Shaal Shri fruit as a souvenir.

Deputy Chief Minister Saw congratulated everyone on Hareli Tihar

Addressing the program, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that Hareli is the first festival of Chhattisgarh and from this onwards a long series of festivals starts in the state. He congratulated everyone on Hareli festival. He said that Hareli is a festival of rich tradition, a festival of farmers, a festival of connecting with nature. He also wished all the people of the state on this holy festival.

In the program, Union Minister Tokhan Sahu, while calling Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai the guest of Sahu Samaj, said that our elders have created the tradition of celebrating the holy occasion of Hareli with devotion. Hareli is a festival of preserving agriculture, cow mother and nature. He called upon social friends to tell the importance of this festival to the coming generation. Minister Tokhan Sahu also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making a person from Sahu Samaj a Union Minister for the first time. Raipur District Sahu Samaj honored Tokhan Sahu by presenting a Rudraksh tree.

In the program, the participants of Sahu Samaj also performed singing and dancing. Sahu Samaj also organized Gidi race and Matka breaking competition here. The presentation of Shiv Tandava dance given by two twin sisters Pramila and Parvati in the program captivated everyone.
