Appealed to plant a tree in mother’s name on Hareli festival

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has congratulated and wished the people of the state on the occasion of Hareli festival. In his message of greetings, Shri Sai has said that the culture of Chhattisgarh is prominently visible in the festivals here. Chhattisgarh’s folk festival Hareli is the first festival related to farming and agriculture, which is deeply embedded in the life of the people of Chhattisgarh. In this, tools related to farming are worshipped with the wish of a good harvest. By worshipping Mother Earth on this day, we express our gratitude to her for providing sustenance. The Chief Minister has requested the citizens that this time we should thank Mother Earth by worshipping her and plant ‘one tree in the name of mother’ and celebrate the happiness of Hareli. Shri Sai said that Hareli festival should bring happiness and prosperity in the lives of the people of the state.
