Chhattisgarh: The condition of Ayurvedic hospitals is pathetic, doctors are absent for years but still they are getting salary, official gave a strange statement
Balrampur. The condition of Ayurveda and dispensaries in various development blocks of the district is very bad these days. Due to lack of proper monitoring, the people of the district are not able to get the benefits of Ayurvedic treatment. A recent case of this has come from Ramanujganj. Where the Ayurveda hospital is at the mercy of God and without a trained doctor, the cleaning staff is treating the patients.
Doctors are posted here but they are absent. The cleaning staff is also seen saying that we have been serving here for many years, due to which we have good experience and we treat the patients. The same is the condition of Wadrafnagar Ayurveda Hospital where doctors are posted but do not come to the hospital for months. The dispensary is opened and closed on the basis of the peon.
When the team of Lalluram.com talked to Vadrafnagar Block Medical Officer Dr. Shashank Gupta, he told that the doctor posted in the Ayurveda hospital has not come for many years. When he is asked about this, his answer is often that he is on leave. The BMO also told that we have stopped giving his pay-data for almost 1 year, despite this his salary is being released. He also told that we have also given telephonic information about this to the District Ayurveda Officer but no initiative has been taken so far.
When District Ayurveda Officer Dr. Shashi Jaiswal was talked to about the whole matter, his strange answer came out. He said that the distance is quite far and inspection is less. We have come to know through the media that a doctor is posted in Ramanujganj. Despite this, the hospital is being run on the basis of a peon, an investigation will be conducted and action will be taken on this.
