A resolution was passed in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly to congratulate and wish Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on becoming the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive time. During the discussion on the resolution, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that Shri Narendra Modi becoming the Prime Minister for the third time is a historic achievement. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is working to fulfill the dreams of Shri Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. Our Prime Minister removed Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir peacefully. He has made India the fifth largest economic power in the world and has pledged to make this country a developed India by 2047.
This proposal was presented in the Assembly by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap. He said that under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, India has achieved great heights at the global level, under his leadership our country will be able to make its place in the category of developed countries. Under his leadership, our state of Chhattisgarh will also move towards progressive progress.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that I got the opportunity to work with Shri Modi Ji as a Minister of State in his first term as Prime Minister. I am a witness to the day when Shri Modi entered the Parliament, he bowed down and paid his respects to the biggest Panchayat (Parliament) of this country and in his speech on the very first day, he said that he will continue to think about the welfare of the poor and will make continuous efforts to lift them above the poverty line. The government will remain dedicated to the poor, this government of mine will work for the poor.
The Chief Minister said that on 15th August 2014 when Shri Narendra Modi announced the Swachh Bharat Mission from the ramparts of the Red Fort, some people ridiculed it. Can any Prime Minister think of this work of cleanliness and construction of toilets? Today we all are realizing how important this scheme is. After his announcement of Swachh Bharat Mission, today we understand the importance of cleanliness. Our Prime Minister has constructed toilets in the homes of crores of families.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that today I feel proud to tell that when Shri Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister for the first time in 2014, electricity was provided to the houses in more than 14 thousand villages of this country which did not have electricity even after 65 years of independence. The work of opening Jan Dhan accounts of more than 45 crore poor people was done for the first time by Shri Modi after becoming the Prime Minister.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that a former Prime Minister of our country had admitted that if we send Rs. 100 from Delhi, only Rs. 15 reaches the village, but today, through the schemes of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the amount is being sent directly to the accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT. He is getting the blessings of the village, poor and farmers as a successful Prime Minister, due to which the country and the state are constantly moving forward on the path of progress.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that during his first term, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi led the country in adverse circumstances, but due to his efficient leadership, he turned the circumstances in his favour. He gave India a distinct identity in the world. Under the leadership of Shri Modi, India is progressing by developing in every field, the benefits of which are being received by the people of the country.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Prime Minister wisely controlled Corona in India which has a population of 140 crores and made available more than 200 crore vaccines to protect against Corona. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government has fulfilled Modiji’s guarantee with determination.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that while taking oath in his first term, Prime Minister Shri Modi had said that my government will be a government dedicated to the poor, this government of mine will work for the poor. His first term was spent working for the poor, which is an example today. He made the people of the lower class capable of living a life with dignity, due to which today the people of the lower class are living a life with dignity.
Deputy Chief Ministers Mr. Arun Saw and Mr. Vijay Sharma, Finance Minister Mr. O.P. Choudhary and other MLAs also expressed their views on the proposal.
