Tree plantation program organized in Vidhansabha residential complex under the campaign ‘One tree in the name of mother’
Assembly Speaker, Leader of Opposition, Deputy Chief Minister and Ministers also planted trees
The MLAs also planted trees in the memory and honour of their mothers

Under the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ‘One tree in the name of mother’, a tree plantation program was organized today in the residential complex of Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai planted a vine plant there in honor of his mother. Speaker of the Vidhan Sabha Dr. Raman Singh planted Sitaphal, Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant planted Hanuman fruit and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao planted a Neem plant.
In the massive tree plantation program in the assembly residential complex, Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam presented Ramphal, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap presented Mahua, Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel presented Amla, Labor Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan and Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade presented Harra, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal met Laxman Phal, Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary planted a vine and Revenue Minister Mr. Tankaram Verma planted a peepal tree.
In the tree plantation program, MLAs and senior officials of the state government also planted trees in the memory and honor of their mothers. More than a hundred plants of different species were planted in the program today. Forest department officials said that an ecological park is being developed in an area of 50 acres in the residential complex of the Vidhan Sabha. In this connection, a massive tree plantation program has been organized here today under the campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’.
