Bilaspur. Bilaspur Municipal Corporation has once again hoisted its flag in the country. Bilaspur Municipal Corporation will be awarded the Systematic Progressive Analytical Real Time Ranking Spark 2023-24 Award for better implementation and exceptional performance of PM Swanidhi Yojana of Pandit Deendayal Urban Livelihood Mission. This award will be given by the Union Ministry of Urban and Housing on 18 July in New Delhi. In which Union Urban Housing Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Minister of State for Urban Tokhan Sahu will be present.
PM Swanidhi means Prime Minister Street Vendors Fund, whose sole purpose is to make roadside traders, hawkers and small traders capable and self-reliant. Under this scheme, small traders are getting loans ranging from 10 thousand to 50 thousand, which is helping street vendors a lot in starting and expanding their business.
Let us tell you that from 1 January 2024 to 12 July 2024, a target of 12126 applications was received for the first loan of PM Swanidhi of 10 thousand, second loan of 20 thousand and third loan of 330. Performing unprecedentedly in this, the Municipal Corporation received 15534 applications for the first loan, 5411 for the second and 597 for the third, a total of 21542 applications and working at a fast pace on the approved and eligible applications, it also allotted loans to 7079 beneficiaries of the first category, 2009 of the second category and 377 of the third category, a total of 9465 beneficiaries, completing the process within a record time frame.
