Damayanti Soni from Rajnandgaon is 61 years old and is the first woman from Chhattisgarh who drives a JCB. She not only drives a JCB very fast but is also invited to participate in expos across the country. Similarly, she has received an invitation from Japan but due to some financial difficulties, the country is unable to participate in the expo. She put forth her problem before Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai.
The Chief Minister assured her that she is making Chhattisgarh proud across the country. You pack your belongings, the government will send you to Japan. You make preparations. Damayanti said that it was a great pleasure to meet the Chief Minister. She has been driving a JCB since the death of her husband in 2012. She has participated in many expos across the country and is working with many companies in this regard. 61-year-old Damayanti said that she will continue to drive a JCB for the next 4 years.
Praising Damyanti, the Chief Minister said that you are a role model for the women of Chhattisgarh. I met you through Jandarshan. You should keep encouraging such women.
