Gariyaband: The state health minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal also paid his maiden trip to Supebeda on Wednesday. While there, he toured the hospital and construction sites before proceeding to pay a visit to the home of a kidney patient. He then went ahead and convened a public gathering a few meters from the village school in order to get a direct encounter with the people. Picking the microphone, Minster Jaiswal said that Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and the government are concerned with the welfare of all their citizens in Supebeda. He acknowledged their grievances and said many new facilities and services are being operated.
Another set of criticisms emphasized by Minister Jaiswal does not discuss what the government has failed to do but what can be done and is being done now. To their pleasant surprise, he started by proving the new facilities that had been put in place before even declaring them. Before reaching the village, the minister had opened the Supebeda Special Ward at Gariaband, started the operation of three ambulances, and brought one more ambulance with him. He also carried referral orders for two nephrologists and five doctors and opened a dialysis department in the Devbhog hospital as well.
Minister Jaiswal, after expostulating these service-oriented ministries, elaborated on other great facilities for the future, much to the audience’s delight. Health Minister said that the establishment of a research center concerning kidney diseases and mandatory screening and genetic tests for all the adults in Supebeda was mandatory, with a laboratory and a team of people fully assigned to perform these activities. There was the provision of a diet counselor to help the residents meet their nutritional needs, while a coordinator was provided to help the patients seek free treatment. In addition, the patients’ accompanying attendants will also be able to get their meals free of charge, a service that has also been expanded to seven close neighboring villages.
Ministering his words, he stated that no one would need to travel all the way to Raipur for treatment or medication as everything would be taken care of locally, from the village, block level, or district.
