Chief Minister and Chairman, State NITI Aayog, Shri Vishnudev Sai, after the cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat, Nava Raipur today released the “SDG District Progress Report, 2023” and “SDG State Progress Report, 2023” prepared by Chhattisgarh State NITI Aayog to ensure localization and continuous effective monitoring of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) up to the district level. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Arun Saw and Shri Vijay Sharma along with members of the Cabinet were present.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman of State Policy Commission, Shri Ajay Singh informed that on the basis of progress in 82 indicators of “SDG District Progress Report, 2023” and 275 indicators of “SDG State Progress Report, 2023” prepared by State Policy Commission, the departments and district collectors will be able to evaluate, monitor and study the progress of various Sustainable Development Goals. In the report, ‘score’ and ‘ranking’ have been provided to the districts on the basis of progress achieved in indicators related to social, economic, environmental and other aspects.
Data on the progress of districts under the report can also be viewed through the IT platform ‘SDG Dashboard’, so that the concerned department and each district can be informed of the comparative progress from time to time and take corrective action as needed.
Finance and Policy, Economic and Statistics Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary informed that the State Policy Commission is doing important work of creating an effective framework for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), determining the policy format as per the need, providing recommendations for better implementation of policies. “SDG District Progress Report, 2023” and “SDG State Progress Report, 2023” have been prepared by the State Policy Commission, which does year-wise goal-based and district-based analysis of Chhattisgarh state in Sustainable Development Goals.
School Education Minister Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal, Tribal Welfare Minister Mr. Ram Vichar Netam, Forest Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap, Food Minister Mr. Dayaldas Baghel, Industry Minister Mr. Lakhanlal Dewangan, Health Minister Mr. Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Finance Minister Mr. O.P. Choudhary, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade, Youth Welfare Minister Mr. Tankaram Verma, State NITI Aayog member Dr. K. Subramaniam, Member Secretary Mr. Anoop Kumar Srivastava, Chief Minister’s Secretary Mr. P. Dayanand, Secretary, Policy, Economic and Statistics Department Mr. Ankit Anand, Dr. Neetu Gourdia, Joint Director, State NITI Aayog were also present in the meeting.
