Bilaspur. The issue of waterlogging in Bilaspur has reached the High Court, the High Court has taken suo motu cognizance of the matter and has asked the Bilaspur Municipal Corporation Commissioner along with the Secretary of the Urban Administration and Development Department to file personal affidavits on the steps taken regarding waterlogging. Along with this, an explanation has been sought regarding the power disruption due to hoardings. The next hearing of the case will be on July 3.

Let us tell you that there were reports in the news that the drains of the streets and localities were filled with garbage and dirt. The High Court has accepted it as a public interest petition and started hearing it. The government has been made a party in this. The hearing was held in a double bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Sachin Singh Rajput.

The work of drain construction in Kashyap Colony has been going on for the last two months and due to the work not being completed before the rains, problems are arising.
