Raipur. The All India Council for Technical Education has approved the establishment of a government polytechnic college with 240 seats in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district. This polytechnic college will operate from the academic session 2024-25 and will be established in Chirmiri.The new Government Polytechnic College has provision for 60 seats for Diploma in Civil Engineering, 60 seats for Diploma in Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS), 60 seats for Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 60 seats for Diploma in Mining Engineering. This polytechnic college will be affiliated to Swami Vivekanand Technical University Bhilai, Chhattisgarh.
