The Mayor in Council meeting in Raipur Municipal Corporation has ended. In the middle of the meeting, Congress councilor Anwar Hussain sat down to protest half naked against his own MIC. Havildar Abdul Hameed Ward 36 councilor Anwar said that the MIC meeting has been scheduled today after the code of conduct, but issues related to the development of the city are not included in the meeting.
Anwar said that despite constantly informing the officials about the water problem and sanitation problem in the city, no work is being done. Raipur MIC does not pay attention to the issues related to the development of the city. Only 4 months are left for the municipal elections. MIC should think that there will be a problem of water logging due to rain in the coming days, but the problem remains the same.
The mayor doesn’t have time
Councillor Anwar HCussain said that the mayor and his MIC do not have time to listen to the problems of the city. Whatever work is assigned to the officials, they stop working and procrastinate. The condition of Raipur Municipal Corporation has become very bad. Today, along with the people of the city, the public representatives of the city are also troubled.
Discussion on 12 agendas
12 agendas were discussed in the Mayor in Council meeting, which included contractual appointment of retired officers, payment of medical expenses of employees and officers, destitute pension cases, operation of 80 and 50 MLD water plants.
Along with this, agendas related to appointment of driver mechanic computer operator in motor workshop through agency, Anand Nagar, Gayatri Nagar, Kavita Nagar, drain construction have been discussed.
These agendas were discussed in the last MIC
In the last MIC, 10 agendas related to the development of the city were discussed. In this meeting, patchwork with the remaining amount of 15th Finance, drain construction work in Rani Durgavati ward, matter related to destitute pension, giving space to startup, co-working and innovation center on the third floor of multi-level parking, matter related to caste certificate and beautification work in Naraiya pond were discussed.
