Raipur. Now private schools will not be able to charge fees arbitrarily. They will have to display the fee information by putting up a 4×8 feet board outside the schools. Apart from this, the information will also have to be uploaded on the website. The Child Rights Protection Commission has issued an order regarding this. Adopting a strict attitude, the Commission has written a letter to all the collectors saying that the information about the fees of private schools should be made public.
It is worth noting that every year many types of complaints are received regarding the fees of private schools in the state. On one pretext or the other, many private school operators impose arbitrary fees. This also creates a situation of dispute. Now in the order issued, it has been said that the fees will be decided as per Chhattisgarh Non-Government Fee Regulation and Right to Education Act. Schools can increase their fees accordingly.
Information has been sought by June 20
The State Child Rights Protection Commission has asked private schools to submit the fee list by June 20. It also states that the fee hike will have to be done as per the set standard. The management will not have the right to arbitrarily give discounts in the fixed class-wise fees and to charge fees in another name. Arbitrary fees should not be collected from parents even in the process of admission or transfer of children to schools.
Because of this there is a problem regarding fees
According to the letter of the Commission, in Chhattisgarh private schools, appropriate fees for the first time could not be determined due to not including aware and unbiased parents in the school fee committee as per the Fee Regulation Act, not making public the information related to income-expenditure and not holding regular meetings of the District Fee Committee.
