Students of board exams in Chhattisgarh will now get a second chance to pass the exam. Earlier it was also called supplementary exam. In this session it has been named as two exams. The Board of Secondary Education has also issued a notification.
For this, Chhattisgarh Board has also sought suggestions from students and parents for this examination till June 9. So that it can be implemented on their basis.
The ‘two exams’ rule will be implemented from this session
After the decision to conduct board exams twice in the same session, there was a discussion that the department could implement it from session 25-26. But the department has made preparations to implement this rule from this session i.e. 2024-25. Based on the suggestions of parents and students, complete guidelines will also be issued soon.
There will be two board exams in Chhattisgarh
Overall, now there will be two board exams in Chhattisgarh. The second exam will be held in June. Students who failed in the first exam, got supplementary or were absent due to some reason will get a chance in this. The advantage is that by getting a second chance, the year of many students will not be wasted.
Students with supplementary exam will appear in one subject
Under the two board exams, if a student’s result in the first exam is supplementary or he fails in two subjects, then he will give the second exam in the same subject. If he wants, he can also appear in the exams of all the subjects for category improvement and more marks.
Even if a student fails in the re-examination of a subject which he passed in the first exam, he will still be considered passed on the basis of the first result. Experts say that after the formula of taking board exams twice is implemented, there will be no separate supplementary exam. It will be converted into a second exam.
Only students registered in the first exam will be able to apply for the second time
Some rules have also been fixed for the examination twice a year. Only the students registered for the first examination will be able to apply for the second examination. The subjects taken in the first examination will have to be the same in the second examination as well. That is, there will be no change in the subjects. Applications for the second examination will be filled after the first examination.
Students whose results have come as supplementary or have failed will be able to apply for the second examination. Forms for the second examination can also be filled for category improvement. Students who could not appear in the first examination after applying will be able to appear in the second examination. The result of the second examination will be prepared on the basis of higher marks obtained subject wise in both the examinations.
