Government determines dearness allowance for the workers employed in 45 scheduled employments, agricultural employment and agarbatti employment on the basis of consumer price index released by Labour Bureau, Shimla, twice a year on 01 April and 01 October.
As per the order issued, minimum wage rates have been fixed for workers from 01 April 2024 to 30 September 2024. In which Rs 10,900 per month has been fixed for unskilled ‘A’ working class, Rs 10,640 for ‘B’ class and Rs 10,380 for ‘C’ class. Rs 11,550 has been fixed for semi-skilled ‘A’ class, Rs 11,290 for ‘B’ class and Rs 11,030 for ‘C’ class. Rs 12,330 has been fixed for skilled ‘A’ class, Rs 12,070 for ‘B’ and Rs 11,810 for ‘C’. Similarly, the rate has been fixed at Rs. 13,110 for highly skilled ‘A’ category, Rs. 12,850 for ‘B’ category and Rs. 12,590 for ‘C’ category.
