Jagdalpur: Stating that Naxals had good intentions for the poor people in the country, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said that the loopholes that were exploited by them are there in the entire system even today and asked the Naxal leaders to come into the mainstream for the development of the country.

Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Vijay Sharma later requested the Naxalite National Command Council to integrate as per their recent incident in Abujhmad, where eight Naxalites were annihilated. He said, “The police said that eight Naxalites in uniform were gunned down in the border area of Narayanpur-Bijapur to show the capability of our soldiers.” Writing for a letter sent to the government by the Naxalists Central Committee, Sharma, who is also the Home Minister, pointed out that operations where necessary were required. Remembering the words of Chanakya, he exclaimed that minting anything in repetitions does not have an effect and appealed to the Naxalites to have a dialogue.

Sharma buttressed his assertion by arguing that if the Naxalites desire development and progress, they should join the rest of society. He said, “If the Naxalites want development and progress they should come on to the main track path The government also wants the state to develop, hence, if the goal and objectives of Naxalites and the government are common then the path is the same.”

On one hand, he welcomed the Central Committee’s suggestion to talk, saying, “If the Central Committee is ready for dialogue, it is a matter of joy. ” He also pointed out that more than 60 per cent of Naxalites in the top cadre are from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and the Chhattisgarh cadre is junior. He also said that if dialogues begin, there is a chance that the issue could be solved.

Specifically, the Naxalites’ Central Committee had formally written to the government and urged that the environment be fostered for negotiations. The letter’s concerns stipulated that it is crucial for the government to first create the necessary environment for a conversation to take place before proceeding. Central Naxal Committee member Pratap also confirmed that they believe a peaceful atmosphere is needed for peace.
