Durg. Additional Director Urban Body has issued a show cause notice to Corporation Health Department officer Dharmendra Mishra regarding the disposal of cleanliness and waste management in Bhilai Municipal Corporation. Through this notice, a reply has been sought within seven day

In Chhattisgarh, the Additional Director of the Urban Administration Department asked questions to the Corporation’s Health Officer Dharmendra Mishra regarding waste management during the review meeting through video conferencing, to which he could not answer. After which the health officer has been asked to answer about the information regarding lack of door to door garbage collection and lack of waste processing in SLRM centers and waste dumping.

In the letter, the Additional Director has written that the above government orders are not being followed during the review meeting of the body. Which shows carelessness and indifference in discharging the responsibilities as per the post. Explain why disciplinary action should not be proposed against you under Chhattisgarh Civil Service and Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation. The Additional Director has sought a reply from the Health Officer within 7 days of receiving the letter.

Meanwhile, Corporation Leader of Opposition Bhojraj Sinha has written a letter to the Urban Administration Minister alleging corruption worth crores in the cleaning contracts of the Corporation area. Now the corporation officials are avoiding saying anything in this matter. Public Relations Officer Sharad Dubey only told that the Additional Director had sought information regarding the cleanliness system in video conferencing, information about which the health officer could not give. For this reason the notice was issued..

Corporation Leader of Opposition Bhojraj Sinha said that the contract for cleaning the city was given to Nagpur company M/s Urban Enviro Waste Management Limited. This contract was given for Rs 36 crore 54 lakh 98 thousand 580. But during the Congress rule, the company along with the officers and officials of the corporation ignored the rules and regulations and by not paying attention to cleanliness, committed corruption worth crores of rupees.

Bhojraj Sinha said that under the Right to Information Act, he had also sought information about the sanitation workers deployed in the ward, but the corporation had no record of it. The same company did not want to give information regarding its attendance register as a confidential document.
