Raipur. With the onset of summer season, people are facing a lot of problems due to the problem of water supply in many localities of Raipur. Today, BJP councilors of the affected wards came to meet Raipur Municipal Corporation Mayor Ejaz Dhebar regarding preparations to deal with this water crisis. During this, Leader of Opposition Meenal Choubey said that even though the scorching heat has not yet started, water supply is not being provided properly in many wards of the city. Due to which the general public as well as the councilors of the wards are frustrated and upset.
Leader of Opposition Meenal Choubey sarcastically said that the Mayor is claiming that the work of Amrit Mission has been done in about 42 wards, but the reality of the work of Amrit Mission is something different. He claimed that pipelines have been laid under the Amrit Mission scheme, due to which water is not being supplied. The witnesses to this are the councilors of various wards themselves. Meenal said that even last summer the Municipal Corporation had failed in supplying water.
Mayor acknowledged water problem
Mayor Ejaz Dhebar has admitted that there is a water problem in some wards. He said that written complaints have been received from some wards regarding problems in water supply under Amrit Mission.
