Keeping in view the convenience of common devotees during Chardham Yatra, there will be a ban on VIP darshan for the first 15 days. After the approval of Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has also informed the Chief Secretaries of all the states by sending a letter on Wednesday. An appeal has been made to all that VIPs should avoid visiting the four Dhams from 10th to 25th May.

An appeal has been made that VIP darshan should be avoided as much as possible in the first 15 days of the yatra. Especially, darshan should be avoided in Kedarnath Dham, so that common devotees do not have to face any kind of problems in darshan.

He told that the road from Sonprayag to Gaurikund has been widened by 5 to 8 meters. There is a provision of parking at 20 places in Kedarnath, where 1495 vehicles can be parked. An app has also been made for monitoring vehicles.

700 sanitation workers deployed

Horses and mules will remain under surveillance

4000 horses and mules will be under the supervision of the administration on the yatra routes. For the first time, identity cards will be issued for hawkers. Along with building a waste treatment plant of 30 ton capacity in Sonprayag, a dumping ground has also been created. This time it will be operated through roster system. 15 water fountains will be operated 24 hours a day for horses and mules. Two dormitories with a capacity of 197 have been built.

Health facilities increased

This time, along with the deployment of 5 ambulances, 3 golf carts are being deployed. Without disturbing the local system, arrangements for all the doctors are being made in addition to this. Health check-up centers will be operated at about 18 places.
