Chairman of Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, Smt. Renu Ji Pillai today announced the results of high school and higher secondary board examination conducted by Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education in the auditorium of the board. 75.61 percent candidates passed the high school examination and 80.74 percent passed the higher secondary examination.

There are a total of 59 students in the top-10 of class 10th board exam and 20 students in the top-10 of the merit list of class 12th board exam. In the merit list of class 10th board examination, Simran Sabba of Swami Atmanand Government Excellent English Medium, Jashpur stood first with 99.50 percent marks, Honisha of Saraswati Shishu Mandir Higher Secondary School Kopra District Gariaband stood second with 98.83 percent marks. Similarly, in the merit list of class twelfth board examination, Mehak Aggarwal of Evas Woodland English Medium Higher Secondary School, Saraipali district stood first by securing 97.40 percent marks and Kopal Ambasht of Gurughasidas Government English Medium School, Baloda-Bazar district under Swami Atmanand Utkrishta Yojana secured 97 percent marks. Out of these, 3 lakh 40 thousand 220 candidates appeared in the examination. Out of which the results of 3 lakh 39 thousand 994 candidates were declared. Out of the declared exam results, the number of passed candidates is 2 lakh 57 thousand 072. Thus, 75.61 percent candidates passed. In these, the passing percentage of girls was 79.35 and the percentage of boys was 71.12. In the declared examination results, 1 lakh 17 thousand 519 (34.56 percent) students passed in the first division, 1 lakh 23 thousand 386 (36.29 percent) passed in the second division and 16 thousand 165 (4.75 percent) students passed in the third division. 02 candidates have passed in the pass category, while 19 thousand 012 candidates have got the eligibility for supplementary. Due to various reasons, the results of 226 candidates have been withheld, out of which the results of 15 candidates have been withheld due to cheating issue and the examination applications of 205 candidates have been canceled due to lack of eligibility and the results of 06 candidates have been withheld in the category of investigation. .

In the High School Certificate Main Examination year 2023, 3 lakh 30 thousand 681 candidates had appeared in the examination. The passing percentage of the included candidates was 75.05. Thus, there has been an increase of about 0.56 percent in the exam results this year compared to last year.
Out of 2 lakh 61 thousand 077 candidates registered in the Higher Secondary School Certificate Main Examination year 2024, 2 lakh 58 thousand 704 candidates appeared in the examination. Out of the declared exam results, the number of passed candidates is 2 lakh 08 thousand 789 i.e. a total of 80.74 percent candidates passed. Among these, the percentage of girls is 83.72 and the percentage of boys is 76.91. In this, 88 thousand 101 (34.07 percent) candidates have passed in the first division, 1 lakh 09 thousand 185 (42.22 percent) in the second division and 11 thousand 498 (4.45 percent) have passed in the third division. 05 candidates have passed in pass category. 22 thousand 232 candidates have got the eligibility for supplementary. Due to various reasons, the results of 129 candidates were withheld, in which the results of 31 candidates were withheld due to cheating case, the examination applications of 96 candidates were canceled due to lack of eligibility and the exam results of 02 candidates were withheld in the category of investigation.
In the Higher Secondary School Certificate Main Examination year 2023, 3 lakh 23 thousand 625 candidates had appeared in the examination. The passing percentage of the candidates in these was 79.96. Thus, there has been an increase of about 0.78 percent in the exam results this year compared to last year.
According to the orders of Chhattisgarh Government School Education Department, a total of 2239 students including 1108 in High School Examination 2024 and 1131 in Higher Secondary 2024 have been given bonus marks in extra-academic activities. As per the decision taken by the Board, it has been decided not to add marks of non-academic activities in the merit list. Therefore, this year a temporary merit list has been prepared excluding bonus marks.
