Raipur, 06 August 2020. Under the Godan Nyaya Yojana, the benefits of cow dung have started to be provided to the cattle rearers. Cow, buffalo rearing animals used to earn only from milk. Now every fifteen days you will also get money to sell cow dung. The state government has started purchasing dung at the rate of Rs 2 per kg under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday made online payment of Rs. 5 lakh 95 thousand 214 for 2 lakh 97 thousand 607 kg of cow dung purchased from 2,216 cattle ranchers in Janjgir-Champa district.
Shri Suraj Kashyap, a resident of village Pachera of Nawagarh block of the district, has received online payment of Rs. 5,834 for selling 2,917 kg of cow dung collected from 40 cattle on 5 August. He told that earlier dung was used to make cow dung in the traditional way, due to which the cash benefit could not be obtained. Now in addition to milk from the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, cash is also being obtained from cow dung. Mr. Suraj said that he had never thought that dung would also earn cash. He told that he will use this additional income from selling dung to expand dairy and farming. Shri Suraj said that the cattle rearing has increased due to the Godhan Nyaya Yojana. He thanked the state government for starting this scheme.
