According to the police, the team of Muzgahan police station had received information that illegal liquor sale and gambling business was going on in the surrounding areas. The police conducted a raid and arrested 2 to 3 accused. These accused were brought to the police station.
According to the information, as soon as the information about the arrest of the accused was received, a crowd entered the police station in support of the accused, then they created a ruckus inside the police station. An accused named Askaran, who was involved in liquor and betting business, was rescued. He also threatened to see the police as soon as he came out of the police station.
Action against other accused of gambling and betting
Police arrested 4 accused including Chhotu Banjare in the case of illegal gambling and liquor sale. A large number of people reached the police station to rescue Chhotu Banjare, and as soon as information about the matter was received, ASP Rural Kirtan Rathore and other officers also reached the police station with additional force.
Accused Tikesh Yadav, Loknath Sahu, Abdul Kalam Khan have also been arrested. A large quantity of liquor has also been seized from these accused. Many cases including gambling, excise and arms act are registered against Chhotu Banjare.
