The people of the capital Raipur are going to get 2 new bus depots. With this, transport facilities within Raipur city will become easier. 100 new buses are also going to be provided by the Central Government which will be completely electric buses. There are also preparations to make charging points to charge these buses.
The corporation has decided to build city bus depots at Pandari and Amanaka for these buses. Both these places will act as center points for city buses and from here new city buses can soon be seen running throughout the city.
There is vacant land in Mathpara’s ISBT also.
With the availability of 100 new buses and construction of 2 new city bus depots, people will be able to easily catch buses to different places. People coming from outside will also find it easy to move from one place to another in Raipur city. Raipur City is getting all these buses from the Central Government.
Corporation officials said that apart from these two city bus depots, about one acre of land is also vacant in ISBT located at Mathapara. In which a separate stand will be made for city buses from other buses. Charging points will also be made in it. Old buses will also be parked at these places.
Corporation Commissioner took stock
Raipur Municipal Corporation has started preparations to build a new depot. Regarding this, on the instructions of Collector Gaurav Kumar Singh, Commissioner Avinash Mishra inspected ISBT. In this, 1 acre space has been finalized for the city bus stand. Here people coming from other states will easily get city buses to go to any place within the city.
The new depot will be fully equipped
It is being told that this new bus depot will be built with modern facilities. In which charging stations will be built for buses. Apart from this, there will be waiting area and other arrangements keeping in mind the facilities of the passengers.
