Raipur. Voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Naxalgarh Bastar is to be held on April 19. Additional Chief Electoral Officer Nilesh Kumar Mahadev Kshirsagar said, more than 300 booths in Bastar are sensitive. Tight security arrangements have been made here. Along with the security personnel from Central, the soldiers deployed in Chhattisgarh have been deployed for election work.
He told that more than 200 such booths have been shifted where there is a possibility of untoward incident. While shifting, care has been taken that voters do not face any problem. Heli ambulance and air ambulance were deployed in Jagdalpur. The polling team will be dispatched three days earlier on April 16. This time four times more amount has been given for the arrangements so that the voters do not get troubled, in view of the heat. Based on this amount, arrangements have to be made with the District Election Officer.
Kshirsagar said, arrangements for shade have been made to provide relief to the voters from the heat. Arrangements for other facilities like drinking water have been made. Considering this is a sensitive area, preparations have been completed.
