CCTV cameras will be installed in long distance buses originating from Raipur. Traffic ASP took a meeting of bus owners regarding this. ASP has also instructed bus owners to paste the ticket rates on the buses. Apart from this, if the bus driver stops the vehicle at the intersection and boards the vehicle, the police will issue challan on such buses.
Apart from Raipur ASP Om Prakash Sharma, DSP Gurjit Singh, owners of many bus traveling companies of the city participated in the meeting. Apart from this, a large number of drivers and conductors were also present in the meeting. During the meeting, Om Prakash Sharma gave many instructions regarding safe and simple traffic system.
These instructions-
1) Rate list will be mandatorily pasted in all buses. Action will be taken on complaints of charging excess fare.
2) CCTV is mandatory for the safety of passengers in long distance passenger buses. Camera should be installed.
3) Buses originating from Raipur bus stand are stopped on the way and passengers are boarded after stopping the bus. Due to which the general public faces problems. In view of this problem, now the bus will stop only at Pachpedi Naka and Tatibandh Chowk.
Apart from this, if the bus is stopped anywhere and a passenger is boarded then challan will be issued under no parking on the bus.
4) Passenger buses coming from Jagdalpur disembark passengers at Pachpedinaka Chowk, due to which there is traffic jam at the Chowk. Now vehicles coming from Jagdalpur will board directly at the bus stand.
5) During the meeting, Municipal Corporation officers have been directed to install CCTV cameras around the bus stand for security of journeys.
6) Hawkers booking seats for buses outside the bus stand, which is unfair, will be completely banned.
