Raipur: Instructions for planting shady trees and starting economic activities as soon as possible

Panchayat and Rural Development Department issued circular to collectors, asking to send information about progress of works in Gothan every week. 

Raipur. 28 July 2020. The Panchayat and Rural Development Department has given instructions to plant shady trees during the rainy season. Along with this, it has been said to expedite these by continuously monitoring the works of CPT (Cattle Protection Trench), Vermi Compost Unit, work shed for self-help groups and necessary machines and equipment. Departmental Minister Shri T.S. On the instructions of Singhdev, Principal Secretary Mr. Gaurav Dwivedi has issued a circular in this regard to all District Program Coordinators-cum-Collectors of MNREGA.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions to provide shady places for cattle in Gowthan, during the rainy season. He has asked to ensure all the arrangements for starting economic activities in Gothan. He will also review the progress of these works every week.

The Panchayat and Rural Development Department has instructed the collectors to give top priority to these works. In the circular issued by the department, it has been said that according to the needs and demands of each Gothan, large trees of sufficient height and good quality shady trees will be provided by the forest department. While planting big plants will increase their chances of survival, shade arrangements will also be available in Gothan complexes soon. The plantation will be done under the technical guidance of Forest and Agriculture Department officials. The Gauthan Steering Committee will be responsible for the maintenance and maintenance of plants planted in Gothan.

The department has asked to expedite the basic needs CPT, vermi compost units, work sheds for self-help groups and installation of necessary machines and equipment in the Gothans by constantly monitoring the work. For weekly review of progress of works by the Chief Minister, collectors have been instructed to ensure to send the updated information in the prescribed format to the MNREGA commissioner’s office every week.
