Chhattisgarh Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap has raised questions regarding former CM Bhupesh Baghel’s statement on ‘sleeper cell’. He said that Bhupesh Baghel should clarify whether he considers Congress as a terrorist organization? They are openly insulting Congress workers by calling them ‘sleeper cells’.
Kedar Kashyap said on Friday that the former Chief Minister has become so distracted by the poor condition of Congress in the elections and the opposition against him in the organization. Whatever he has said about some of his workers shows the conduct of the leaders towards them and the political character of the Congress.
It is unfortunate to call the workers ‘sleeper cells’.
The Forest Minister said that the term ‘sleeper cell’ is used for people associated with terrorist organizations. He said that the party whose leaders addressed Afzal Guru as ‘Ji’ and were seen standing with the terrorists, is now calling its workers as ‘sleeper cells’. This is a great misfortune.
Rahul-Priyanka standing with Kejriwal distanced themselves from Bhupesh
He said that the political personality of former Chief Minister Baghel has now gone to waste. The latest proof of this is that after the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra have given statements in his defence. But Bhupesh Baghel, who was once the ‘apple of the family’s eyes’, was sidelined when a crime was registered in the Mahadev App case.
Workers turning away from Bhupesh
Kedar Kashyap said that even Congress candidates are hesitant in inviting Bhupesh for election meetings in their area. The reason for Baghel’s disturbed mood is that on one hand the Congress workers are turning their backs, while on the other hand the top leadership is ignoring it. The question now is whether there was this much trust in Bhupesh?
Working like a sleeper cell of BJP while being in Congress
In fact, just a day before, Bhupesh Baghel had talked about there being a sleeper cell in Congress. On the allegations of former Organization General Secretary Arun Sisodia, Bhupesh Baghel had said that there has been no embezzlement or scam of any kind in the State Congress Committee. Whatever payment was made by the State Congress Committee was made under a statutory contract.
In Rajnandgaon, Baghel had said that whatever complaint a former state Congress official has made is actually a propaganda by the BJP sleeper cell. He said that making an internal complaint of the party and then publicizing it in the media is against the discipline of the party. This is definitely the work of people working within the party for sleeper cells of BJP.
