In the capital Raipur, a young man calling himself a lawyer and journalist turned out to be a thief. He, along with two youths, has committed chain snatching incidents at 5 places in the city. This young man was so clever that to show himself a high profile, he even uploaded photos with politicians on social media. Police have arrested 3 accused in this case.
Raipur Police formed an anti-crime unit and a special team of police to combat the increasing incidents of chain snatching in the city. Police detained one accused Sarvesh Dubey after analyzing the chain snatching pattern and CCTV. Sarvesh has already gone to jail in chain snatching cases. When the police interrogated him, he uttered the names of Kailash Yadav and Krishna Kumar Meshram.
Targeting elderly women
These three accused used to do the entire planning in the hideouts of Krishna and Kailash in Gobra-Navapara. To commit chain snatching, first they stole three vehicles from different places in the city. After this they used to target elderly women who were out for morning walk. Then, as soon as they got a chance, they would pull the gold chain from their neck and run away.

These accused would commit the crime by tying a cloth around their mouth so that they could not be identified. The police caught him by continuously tracing him. One of these accused, Krishna Meshram, used to mortgage the looted chain in the finance bank. Then the three friends took the cash from there and spent it on their hobbies.
Took a photo with politicians, called himself a journalist and lawyer
According to the information, one of the accused in this case, Krishna Meshram, used to show himself a high profile. Although many cases are already registered against him. In which there are crimes like rioting, theft, arson and assault. He also got photographs taken with some big leaders and uploaded them on Facebook.
Apart from this, he used to get photographs taken with new vehicles and share them on social media. He had maintained a long profile in his Facebook account. In this he has also mentioned the lawyer and the bureau chief of the newspaper. Also uploaded a picture outside the court in black coat.
Other accused also habitually
In this case, 6 cases of robbery and theft are also registered against Service Dubey in Raipur and Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In which he has also been in jail. During this time he met Krishna and Kailash. Cases of theft and assault are also registered against Kailash. Police have recovered five gold chains, rings and three two-wheelers along with goods worth more than Rs 10 lakh from these accused.
