Additional Chief Electoral Officer Shri Nileshkumar Mahadev Kshirsagar has said that the role of the security agencies of the state is to maintain the security system, and they also play an important role in following the Model Code of Conduct. He said that to conduct fair and peaceful elections, coordination of police force with various monitoring teams is also necessary. He appreciated the role of the police force in the peaceful conduct of the Legislative Assembly elections 2023. He said that it is necessary for the police to coordinate with various agencies at the national and state level to keep an eye on election expenditure. Shri Kshirsagar said that the police force should prepare a special plan with the help of other agencies for peaceful voting in sensitive polling stations. Shri Kshirsagar was addressing the inaugural session of the one-day training program for police officers before the Lok Sabha elections in the New Circuit House Auditorium.

Superintendents of Police, 11 Additional Superintendents of Police and 65 Deputy Superintendents of Police from 22 districts of the state participated in the one-day training organized as per the instructions of Chief Electoral Officer Mrs. Reena Babasaheb Kangale. On this occasion, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Shri PS Dhruv and senior officials of the Chief Electoral Officer’s office were also present.

During the training, State Police Nodal Officer for Lok Sabha elections Shri OP Pal has said that the role of police and paramilitary forces is important for peaceful elections in the state. On this occasion, he said that during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the state police and district administration should take care that the contingents of paramilitary forces coming from outside do not face any inconvenience for essential needs.
           During the one-day training, national level master trainer Mr. US Aggarwal gave information regarding Model Code of Conduct, Media Monitoring and Control Center and Complaint Cell. While Master Trainer Mr. Apoorva Priyesh Toppo threw light on Election Expenditure Monitoring, Mr. Vinay Aggarwal threw light on Postal Ballot, Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot System (ETPBS) and Election Duty Certificate (EDC). During the training, experts also shared information on various topics related to security, law and order and elections.
